Paige’s Project is a social action group for young people aged 11-25 with an invisible illness which aims to provide a support network, allow young people to make friends, and to help young people grow as individuals. Our support network includes group meetings as well as a buddy system for new members of the group, and signposting to our partners and other organisations when needed. Our aim is to support and guide young people when they need us, even if this is just a friendly face from time to time.
What Is Invisible Illness?
Often people ask us to define invisible illness. Simply it is a physical, mental or neurological condition that limits a person’s movements, senses, or activities that is invisible to another person. Unfortunately, because the symptoms are invisible this can lead to misunderstandings, false perceptions, and judgement.
